Now the world's most expensive artwork is an oil painting done by Paul Gauguin .It was sold for a masssive sum of  £200 MILLION.


This 1982 painting of two Tahitian girls was done by Paul is titled, Nafea Faa Ipoipo, or you just call it When Will You Marry? It is said to have been bought by a museum in the oil rich Arab nation, Qatar

This is not the first time the Asian nation is buying the world's most expensive painting ..They had set previous record for an artwork when it paid $259 million for The Card Players by Paul Cezanne.

According to the New York Times,this artwork had been owned by Rudolf Staechelin, who has declined to name the buyer.
