There seem to be anxiety everywhere in the country as citizens are waiting for the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to speak on the postponement of the much anticipated forthcoming Election.
The previous dates indicated by INEC that the National Assembly and Presidential elections are suppose to hold on February 14 while the governorship and State House of Assembly elections are due to follow in two weeks time.
While Chairman of INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega, is to address a press conference in Abuja later today by 5pm in their headquarters.
The press conference will happen just after he must have sat with chairmen and secretaries of all registered political parties and with the Resident Electoral Commissioners of all the 36 states including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Reports do say that the commission is being blackmailed to shift the dates of the exercise in order to provide enough time in order for those who have initiated different court cases against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to conclude their different cases which is to stop the former head of state from contesting.
More to come later............
