According to reports, this incident happened in the early hours of today at Gudu roundabout in Abuja. It was said that policemen in their van were chasing a Keke driver and during this chase, the Keke happened to tumble and it caught fire. The only passenger in the Keke managed to get out of the Keke uninjured but the driver had a bad luck.

An eye witness said seeing the Keke and driver on fire, the policemen immediately left the scene, leaving the helpless man to burn to death. The witness said this enraged other Keke drivers and some people who witnessed the incident and a protest began. He also said it took the intervention of military men to disperse the protesters.
